Hét Hat Club
Hét Hat Club will perform on 23 October 2026 at Palác Akropolis.
Hét Hat Club is an international music collective from Hungary that blends traditional and contemporary musical cultures in both acoustic and electric forms. For the band, a party is a form of art and can happen anywhere - on an island festival on the Danube, at a Russian house party, on a café terrace in Aix-en-Provence, on the streets of Zurich, in Budapest's Palace of Painters, in an LGBTQ+ senior home in San Francisco, at a world music festival in Romania, at a Balkan wedding in Poitiers, or on a horse ranch in Chile.
It is an international nomadic band based in Budapest that draws on the sounds of Balkan, Romanian, Hungarian, Roma, Turkish, and Transylvanian music from the 1980s and 1990s, as well as hip-hop and Afro cultures. The band has existed for ten years - it emerged from a spontaneous meeting of street musicians in Budapest and gradually moved from the streets to festival stages while maintaining its original approach. Today it combines traditional musical styles with the energy and principles of modern electronic music, though still predominantly in acoustic form.
The result is a wild dance mix of Balkan rhythms, Roma music, Hungarian folk, hip-hop, and electronics that works equally well on the street and on a large festival stage.
