HYB4 Gallery: Martin Zetová: We Are All the Same Age — Kampus Hybernská, Prague

The exhibition "We Are All the Same Age" explores the story of humanity and all living and non-living things. The artist returns to fundamental questions about our origins and destiny, proposing that since the universe began in a single moment, everything that emerged from it shares a common starting point. This shared memory, he suggests, does not fade over vast timescales but continues - offering the idea that the living and non-living may share the same age.

Zetová transforms these reflections into a spatial painting created specifically for HYB4 Gallery, where a complex system of organic genealogies unfolds, distinct from human ancestry. On an imagined map of existence, a few centimeters of line can represent millions of years - from an unknowable source to the thread of matter and energy whose end remains unseen.

The spatial installation is complemented by the artist's writings, a series of drawings, and sculptural reliefs made from natural materials, echoing his sculptural practice and the economy of form that conceals layered meaning. The exhibition also includes a sound piece and a visual recording of a living creature - representing, according to the curator, the fragility and transience of captured life, while other parts of the installation open perspectives on time and existence beyond our own experience.

The opening reception takes place on November 6, 2026 at 6:00 PM in C.0 HYB4 Gallery. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, accessed through Campus Café.
