Duo with Guitar
Duo Teres (Lucia Fulka Kopsová - violin and Tomáš Honěk - guitar) is a chamber ensemble with an exceptional instrumental combination, dedicated since its founding primarily to music originally composed for violin and guitar. Over time, the duo's focus has shifted especially toward 20th and 21st century music. At the end of 2010, their first album was released to critical acclaim, featuring works by Jan Novák, Antonín Tučapský, Jan Truhlář and Niccolò Paganini.
The "Prague Kaleidoscope" project bridges classical and jazz composers' music. Renowned authors compose pieces directly for Duo Teres, which then performs them at their concerts - among them Jan Freidlin, Lukáš Hurník, Ondřej Kukal, Martin Brunner, Karel Růžička and Matej Benko. In connection with this project, the duo collaborates with Czech Radio, specialist journals and other media. In 2014, they also premiered Jan Freidlin's work of the same name in concert version with a chamber orchestra in Polish Radom.
Duo Teres has been active since 2007 and has won numerous awards from international chamber competitions - first prize in Gorizia, first prize in Vidnava and third prize in Aschaffenburg. They have also participated in masterclasses led by figures such as Marco Socías, Paolo Pegoraro and Pavel Šporcl.
