MAYON ☆ post-metal

Mayon is a post-metal/alternative band from Opava formed in 2020 by musicians from related underground projects. Their music is built on dense guitar layers, emotionally charged vocals, and an atmosphere drawing from post-metal, post-rock, and alternative hardcore. The band's lyrics explore existential themes, anxieties, inner demons, and the romance of nature.

In 2022 they released the EP Kaldera, and in spring 2025 their debut album V těle a zemi, recorded at Golden Hive studio under producer Amák and released by MetalGate Records. They are currently finishing their second album.
