Preacher: Přemysl Pitter
Přemysl Pitter was a Protestant preacher, writer, publicist, humanist, educator, and social worker who stands among the most prominent Czech figures of the 20th century. Through his tenacity, unwavering principles, and moral absolutism, he challenged mediocrity and exposed indifference, laziness, and lack of solidarity - sometimes even outright hatred. After World War II, despite the fierce desire for revenge among some Czechs against Germans, he organized the "Castle Action" project to help Jewish, German, and Czech children regardless of their national or racial origin. His lifelong work was honored in 1991 with the posthumous award of the T. G. Masaryk Order, First Class.
The main partner of this alternative theatre production is Post Bellum. The direct performers are participants from the Memory of the Nation children's workshop, which focuses on questions of freedom and democracy.
