The Great Patriotic Journey

It began with a call: do you think the war in Ukraine is a hoax? That the media lies about the death toll and the impact of the "special military operation in Ukraine"? Come audition and become a hero of a new film. In October 2024, a film crew headed to the center of the military conflict with three "heroes" - Putin supporters - to see for themselves what war in Ukraine looks like.

The documentary follows their reactions as rockets fly overhead, they shelter in bunkers, walk among mass graves, and speak with children in an underground metro school, wounded soldiers, and the bereaved.

A documentary road movie with comedic elements captures the journey from still-safe Czechia to war-torn Kharkiv and the Donbas. War in Ukraine uncensored.
