Ptaszek & Bužma

Two personalities of the Czech blues scene bring the folk-blues tradition of the American South from the early twentieth century to life. Singer and diatonic harmonica virtuoso Matěj Ptaszek teams up with singer and guitarist (primarily on resonator guitar) Lubomír "Bužma" Khýr.

The two musicians complement each other perfectly, their vocals matching the instruments they play - the guitarist's style is folk-narrative, while the harmonica player wails with an expression ranging from longing to anger and defiance. Their approach to blues is neither posturing nor cliché, but stems from the fact that Ptaszek & Bužma are friends who share a similar life philosophy.

Tickets are available through smsticket.cz and the Moravské Budějovice tourist information centre. Admission at the door on the day of the event is 280 CZK.
