Nezmaři
Restaurace U Letců, Hradec Králové
Nezmaři is a Czech folk group founded in early 1978 as a stage band at the South Bohemian Theatre. The ensemble has evolved into one of the longest-running acts on the Czech folk scene, performing over a hundred concerts annually across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The group's signature sound features multi-part vocals accompanied by acoustic instruments. Their repertoire blends original compositions with folk classics, drawing from four decades of creative work. The current lineup - Pavel Zajíc, Pavel Drengubák, Tonda Hlaváč, and Šárka Benetková - has remained unchanged since 2002.
Nezmaři have received numerous awards in the folk genre, including the Plzeň Port and two Golden Keys (for best group of the year in Folk & Country). They have released 16 studio albums and 2 DVDs. Their concerts feature songs from all periods of their career, and they also perform seasonal programmes with traditional and lesser-known carols. Thanks to their purely acoustic instrumentation and strong vocal harmonies, they can perform intimate concerts in churches and chapels. They occasionally collaborate with Miki Ryvolová or perform as part of the Nezmaři and South Bohemian Philharmonic project.
