Forest Ray + star51

The lo-fi psych funk band Forest Ray from Seattle returns to Prague's MeetFactory in October after two years away.

Since their last European tour supporting the album Windfucker, the band has released a series of singles announcing their sixth studio album. The new record marks a return to raw analog sound, blending Americana, lo-fi garage rock, psychedelic country and folk.

"The new album from the Seattle outfit is a solid blend of Americana, psych and indie-rock. Peter Sumic's classic storytelling style is driven by a rich sonic tapestry of guitar, mandolin, banjo, pedal steel, harmonica and percussion, making it feel like a perfect companion for a long, dusty road trip." - Chris Sanley, KEXP

The evening opens with the local project star51. Sophia and Toli decided over two years ago to record an album of their musical ideas - together with friends, they formed the current eight-piece band star51 in the rehearsal space of the collective Last of Fuzz.

Beyond guitars, keyboards, drums and bass, star51 also features violin, trumpet and saxophone. Their songs move between indie rock, psychedelia, country rock and midwest emo.
