Wirbel

In the rolling landscape of the Czech Highlands, a crumbling house stands among the fields. Its new and only inhabitant is Martin, who has left the city to find his lost direction. But when a mysterious Agnes appears at his doorstep, his closed-off world begins to fall apart. As the landscape resists and ancient dangers buried in the earth awaken, Martin must recover the lost memory of the place to save Agnes, the land, and himself. Wirbel, the feature debut of director Tomáš Hubáček, is a hypnotic story about the power of landscape, forgotten folk wisdom, and the search for a true home.
