Trať off the rails #6 w/ Ervin Omsk, bogdan sėkalski, Lénok
The irregular music series Trať off the rails returns to Divadlo 29. This fourth Pardubice edition (sixth overall) brings three current projects from the Central European experimental electronic scene.
Trať off the rails is a long-term concert project by the curatorial team of the nomadic festival Trať, which in its standard format brings music, theatre and visual art to abandoned railway stations across the Czech Republic each year. Off the rails takes the festival beyond its classical format - into the space of Divadlo 29. This year's edition focuses on different forms of contemporary avant-garde electronics and presents three music projects from Germany, Poland and Slovakia for the first time in Pardubice. Their recent releases have resonated in the global experimental electronic scene.
The programme of the first Saturday in November offers dramatic storytelling, complex compositions full of twists, a dose of mystery, abstraction and illegibility, but also absurdity, echoes of dream pop and play with genre clichés.
Ervin Omsk is the pseudonym of German musician and visual artist Sven Fritz. His solo career began in 2020 with the debut Peilen on Orange Milk Records. His second album Schmalster Point (2023) was released on the same label, and in 2026 came his third, Der Saal tobt - a collection of bizarre electronic chamber music. Nervous compositions of sampled and distorted instruments oscillate between abstract and concrete gestures, on the border of tonality and noise.
As Julek Ploski, chief curator of bff music label, wrote: bogdan sėkalski's latest record is music for losers, but in the best sense of the word. His fresh album Final Boss Poems recalls the soundtrack to a fantasy indie video game from the 2000s, where each track represents another level - sweet clown beats flow effortlessly and absurdly into nostalgic jingles. Sunny breakbeat, wholesome trip-hop, happy industrial, indie rock, acid folk, bubblegum ragga, bounce-rock, jiggly folktronica and industrial indie pop with a touch of awkwardness and melancholy.
