After Dinner
House of Culture Ostrov, Ostrov
Kráťa, a manager on the verge of burnout, agrees to his ailing father Miloš's request and takes over running a dilapidated summer children's camp where he once spent his own childhood. Upon arrival, he clashes with the camp staff, led by Cyril, who has long coveted his position.
The situation escalates when a health inspection arrives - working there is Kráťa's old camp flame Anežka Svobodová, who now lives with his former rival Karel, now a powerful local businessman. To complicate matters further, it emerges that Karel has entirely different plans for the land where the camp stands.
Kráťa faces not only a crumbling facility and unexpected emotions, but gradually finds his way back to his father - a man who is himself trying to repair his relationship with his wife. This unexpected summer at the familiar old place offers a chance for a fresh start. Perhaps for them, perhaps for others who discover their own summer romances there despite the circumstances.
