The Phenomenon of Christmas Eve Fairy Tale

The Christmas Eve Fairy Tale is as integral to Czech Christmas as a decorated tree or homemade cookies. Every year, families gather in front of their televisions waiting for a new story - but what goes into creating it?

This talk show offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of Czech television's strongest traditions. Viewers will learn how the Christmas Eve Fairy Tale is prepared, what criteria guide the selection of its story, and what it must contain to appeal to both children and adults.

The programme includes an exclusive first glimpse of a new fairy tale being prepared for television.
