Ateliérovka: Everything Water Carries
In this first Ateliérovka workshop, inspired by the new exhibition Crested/mâcistan: Tanya Lukin Linklater and Duane Linklater, we will explore what water can carry and connect - not just people and goods, but also memories, stories, and knowledge.
Participants will create a hanging artwork inspired by the objects A bow and cup ashaker (2026) and Headwaters (2026), incorporating beads that appear throughout the exhibition. These will be threaded onto soft strings symbolizing flowing water as we reflect on what rivers carry with them. The strings will be connected and tied together, mirroring how streams, rivers, knowledge, and memories interweave and meet in reality. The workshop takes place on Sunday, October 4 at 14:00.
Tickets cost 130 CZK for participants and 50 CZK for accompanying adults, available at the Galerie Rudolfinum box office before the event. Parents can join in the creative process or let their children work with instructors while they explore the Crested/mâcistan: Tanya Lukin Linklater and Duane Linklater exhibition at their own pace.
The workshop Everything Water Carries is part of the Ateliérovka series of art studios designed for children aged 5-14, parents, and the general public - the aim is to inspire personal artistic creation. Galerie Rudolfinum provides an illustrated worksheet for each workshop, freely available on the gallery's website.
