Ray Charles became famous as a jazz musician with a distinctive voice and hits from the 1960s and 70s like "Hit the Road Jack" and "Georgia on My Mind". His journey, both personal and professional, was not easy, but he ultimately prevailed despite the obstacles. Lee Andrew Davison shares with him not only a love of music, but also a desire to play for an audience that can appreciate it and pass it on.

About the venue: Reduta Jazz Club

Reduta Jazz Club is the oldest jazz club in Prague, opened in 1957 on Národní street near the National Theatre. It gained worldwide fame when U.S. President Bill Clinton played saxophone here during a jam session in 1994. The programme features jazz, swing, Dixieland, blues, funk, soul and big band shows; the club has repeatedly been named among the Top 10 jazz clubs in Europe by The Guardian.
