Sunday Dixie: The Dixieland Messengers

The Dixieland Messengers perform as part of the Sunday Dixie series at Jazz Dock.

Dixieland Messengers was founded in late 1998 by trombonist Václav Fiala with the aim of continuing the interpretation of improvised music from the classical New Orleans period in the traditional lineup: trumpet, clarinet, trombone, piano, bass, banjo, and drums.

Today the ensemble brings together musicians of different generations - their performances combine experience and assurance with youthful energy.
