The Colorful World of Pizduchy - A Playful Workshop for Children

Join us for a creative workshop for children inspired by the Pizduchy - peculiar characters from the eponymous and only children's book written by Václav Havel and illustrated by Jiří Sopko. On the 90th anniversary of his birth and 15 years after his death, we celebrate the absurd poetry of this unconventional "fairy tale".

During the workshop, we will create a pair of colorful characters using frottage - with paints and artistic tools, we will bring to life not only their appearance but also their personality and behavioral style. We begin by reading dialogues of the Pizduchy directly from the book and reflecting on their behavior, just as the author did. This is followed by a short warm-up combining drawing with verbal expression, and then we dive into creation.

The workshop is suitable for children aged 7 to 13, that is, for pupils of both primary school levels or corresponding secondary school grades, and includes variations for older and younger participants. Workshop duration: 90 minutes.
