Queens

A spa room may not seem like the right place for a comedy, but it is. Three women meet there only because of a water pipe burst in one of the spa wings - under normal circumstances, their paths would never have crossed. Each faces a different problem, but all have recently gone through a turning point in life and now must learn to live their new lives.

Johana (40) is recovering from a car accident and a leg operation that became complicated - the spa is her last chance, otherwise amputation looms. Zita (60) struggles with her nerves and seeks spiritual cleansing at the spa. Young Eliška (25) recently lost her sight and is learning to live with this disability.

Three women, utterly different in generation and social standing, must spend a relatively long time together. And it is humour that keeps a person afloat in the hardest moments and helps them overcome even the worst obstacles.

"Queens" is a comedy full of genuine humour, one that sometimes sends shivers down your spine.
