About: Eagles of Death Metal

Formed in the Californian desert in the late 1990s by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, this garage-rock outfit trades on humor (the name is a joke) rather than actual death metal, leaning instead on blues-soaked punk and rock'n'roll. The group became known far beyond rock circles after their own Paris show at the Bataclan was struck by a terrorist attack in November 2015.
