Art&Play - Chromatography

A creative workshop that introduces children to the principles of chromatography - participants will discover that black colour is a mixture of different pigments and observe how they separate into coloured stripes and patterns when dissolved. Using these structures, each child will create their own artistic collage, combining the experiment with creative work.

The workshop is part of the ART & PLAY cycle - the autumn semester of Art is Not Science! runs from 20 September 2026 to 24 January 2027, every other Sunday at Villa Pellé gallery. Over eight sessions, topics will include microscopes, optical illusions, and the plant kingdom.

- Workshop duration: 90 minutes
- Suitable for children aged 7-13 without parental supervision
- Takes place in the club room of Villa Pellé Gallery
- Tools and materials are included in the ticket price
- Comfortable clothing and a drink are recommended
