Architecture Day: Český Krumlov - Hotel Růže
Sun, 4 Oct 2026 · 15:00
A guided tour with art historian Tereza Hermannová and architect Filip Hermann exploring the history of Český Krumlov's largest hotel. The Renaissance building was commissioned by Vilém of Rožmberk between 1586 and 1588 as a Jesuit college. After the order was dissolved, it served as a barracks and has functioned as a hotel since 1889.
Despite numerous renovations, the building has retained its original character and ranks among the best-preserved structures in the town - its sgraffito facade remains intact to this day. The tour includes the representative spaces available to hotel guests.
