The Secret of the Jungle

Nine-year-old Elisabeth spends her summer holidays at a research station deep in the Amazon rainforest, where her father works as a cartographer. Shortly after her arrival, her father falls from a ladder and her mother must take him to the hospital - Elisabeth is left to watch her little brother Leo. But instead of keeping an eye on him, she reads a book, and when she looks up, Leo is gone. She must find him before her parents return.

So begins her journey through the unknown jungle. Along the way, she overcomes her own fear, finds her brother, and makes a new friend. Together they must outwit a trio of poachers hunting rare animals in the rainforest.

The children reach the mystical Devil's Mountain, where members of a mysterious tribe and their new animal companion Chlupáč - a creature belonging to a previously undiscovered species of jungle inhabitants - help them in their battle against the poachers.
