Bread & Dance Prague 2026

Bread & Dance Prague 2026 is a contemporary dance and physical theatre festival held in Prague from October 31 to November 5, 2026.

The main programme features nine productions from nine Czech ensembles. Each approaches contemporary dance differently and works with distinct artistic means, yet all share a generous theatrical form, collaboration with a wide circle of artists, and international reputation. The performances are selected by the ensembles themselves from their current work - many of them have their premiere at the festival or shortly before.

The International Dancers' Exchange (October 31 - November 1, 2026) is exclusively for professional dancers, graduates and students of dance schools from age 16, selected based on submitted CV and video samples of movement. Participants take part in three-hour introduction workshops with leading Czech choreographers, work on specific assignments, and receive direct feedback during the closing Apres Ski (breakfast with choreographers).

The Networking Hub offers a programme for developing artistic work and international collaboration with leading ensembles and promoters from other European countries - through discussions, workshops, artist presentations and informal networking formats.
