Czech Double Reed Symposium 2026

The Czech Double Reed Symposium is the largest Czech gathering dedicated to oboe, bassoon, and other double reed instruments. In 2026, it takes place for the seventh time, bringing together students, teachers, professional musicians, instrument makers, and all those interested in oboes and bassoons.

The full-day programme at Prague's Rudolfinum includes expert lectures, practical workshops, meetings with musicians, and the largest Czech exhibition of oboes, bassoons, mechanisms, tools, and other accessories.

One of the main guests of 2026 is Norwegian bassoonist and pedagogue Ole Kristian Dahl, whose programme includes a lecture and the "Drills" workshop focused on effective practice and developing playing skills.
