The Passenger

A young couple expecting their first child decide to take one last adventure together before their family grows – they rent a caravan and set off on a carefree road trip across the American countryside.

The mood shatters when, in the dead of night, they stumble upon a fresh accident and stop to help. The driver is beyond saving – and something else remains at the crash site, hidden and sinister.

At the campground where they spend the following night, they hear the legend of the Passenger – a terrifying ghost that haunts those who stopped in the middle of the forest, in the middle of the road, just as they did. According to the legend, such unfortunate souls have no chance and only days or hours left to live. It would be easy to dismiss it all if misfortune hadn't started to cling to their heels, if the recurring horrifying visions could be rationally explained, and if the closeness of death weren't so tangibly real.
