Tomáš Zelený Trio

Tomáš Zelený Trio blends the energy of New Orleans jazz tradition with the modal aesthetics of the 1960s. The trio works with melodic openness, collective improvisation, and a modern approach to the piano trio - all three members are graduates of JAMU in Brno.

Line-up:
- Tomáš Zelený - drums
- Mikuláš Pokorný - piano
- Pavol Mojto - double bass

Drummer and bandleader Tomáš Zelený collaborates with numerous figures from the Prague music scene and, alongside jazz, has long been devoted to Brazilian music. During his studies, he spent a semester in the United States, where he participated in the local live music scene and deepened his knowledge of gospel tradition. He also works as an arranger.
