Hop Trop 2026

A new show featuring songs primarily composed by Ladislav Kučera, his son Robert, Jaroslav Lenka, and Jaromír Vondra. The programme includes hits such as Silver Hill, Valouny, The Rainmaker, Amazonka, Three Crosses, and Jonathan, alongside folk-song arrangements created through the band's collaboration with writer Zdeněk Šmíd. The concert is interspersed with stories from the lives of the band members and their colleagues. As a new offering, HOP TROP now sells a book at their concerts featuring all the songs and photographs.

HOP TROP has been performing tramp music for 40 years and has maintained its original line-up since its formation. At the Porta festival, the band has won top prizes for both interpretation and composition, and in 1988 became holders of the Golden Porta award. For their album "Hop Trop II" released by GZ Loděnice in 1990, the musicians received gold and platinum records.

The band's original songs are broadcast by both private and state radio stations, some have become folk standards and are taught in primary schools. HOP TROP has also appeared in television programmes and on tours to the USA and Australia, delighting Czech and Slovak expatriates with their concerts.
