Architecture Day: Opava - Community Housing or Co-housing?

A lecture on experiences with various forms of community and group housing. The guest is sculptor and visual artist Matěj Frank, who currently lives in the Lebensraum project - Austria's oldest co-housing community near Vienna. This "horizontal apartment block" operates on the principle of neighborly trust and active resident participation in developing and improving the shared environment.

Using concrete examples, he will explore the benefits and challenges of this way of living, the character of the building and its surroundings, technological solutions, and the mechanisms that help the community grow.
