An exhibition dedicated to Vladimír Izbický, founder of the Beroun pottery markets, created on the occasion of their 30th anniversary. Izbický is one of those people who turned a bold idea into a tradition that has spanned generations.

About the venue: Muzeum berounské keramiky

The Muzeum berounské keramiky (Museum of Beroun Ceramics) opened in February 2015 in the so-called Reinovský House in Zámečnická Lane, a building that incorporates the remains of a medieval watchtower from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. The permanent exhibition traces the history of pottery from the Neolithic to the early modern period, with a focus on Renaissance Beroun ceramics - once prized luxury goods found in noble and burgher residences across Central Europe. The museum also houses a working pottery studio with a wheel and kiln, where visitors can try their hand at clay work during open workshops or sign up for longer courses.
