Famous Organ Concerts
Kostel sv. Františka z Assisi, Prague
As part of the 34th concert season, the "Famous Organ Concerts" series will take place, offering audiences the chance to enjoy "Ave Maria" and other celebrated arias by Mozart, Bach, Dvořák, Handel, Schubert, Seger, Gounod, Franck, and Vivaldi.
An evening in the restored interior of the Baroque Church of Saint Francis of Assisi in the heart of the Old Town, accompanied by the second-oldest organ in Prague, dating from 1702. Alongside works by world-renowned masters of the Baroque and Classical periods, music by Czech composers is regularly featured. An accessible yet artistically valuable programme alternates the rich sound of the organ with combinations of solo instruments and singing by leading Czech artists.
