Shrek

Shrek, a green ogre with tusks, lives peacefully alone in his cottage in the forest until he is suddenly overrun by an endless crowd of fairy-tale characters—both famous and obscure—who have been banished from the kingdom by the ugly and sour Lord Farquaad. In an effort to restore order and reclaim his peace, Shrek promises Farquaad that he will rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona from the clutches of a fearsome dragon and bring her to become his wife. With the help of a clever donkey who is willing to do anything for Shrek except stay quiet for even a moment, the ogre fulfills his promise. But then things get tangled, complicated, and twisted in unexpected ways, so everything ends up quite different from what was planned.
