Shrek

Shrek, a green ogre with tentacles, lives quite alone but happily in his cottage in the forest, until he is suddenly overwhelmed by an endless crowd of familiar and lesser-known fairy-tale characters, banished from the kingdom of the ugly and bitter Lord Farquaad. In an effort to restore order and bring peace back to his home, Shrek promises Farquaad that he will free the beautiful Princess Fiona from the clutches of a fearsome dragon and bring her to him so she can become his wife. With the help of a clever donkey, willing to do anything for Shrek except stay quiet for even a moment, the ogre keeps his promise, but then everything somehow becomes strangely tangled, complicated, and mixed up, so that in the end everything turns out quite differently.
