The Stranger
Divadlo BRAVO!, Prague
"The first definition of the word stranger is a person you don't know. But that's far from all."
Physical, visual, sensory…
The Stranger is a form of thinking/dreaming — a play, installation and interactive performance where a cappella singing and live music guide audiences through muddy paths, dark corridors, real and mirrored worlds. Thunderous and sweet voices of ordinary and extraordinary beings resound within it.
"We are exposed to a series of mirrors that reflect aspects of who we are and who we could be. They reflect glimpses of us in connection with others. What perception do they convey? Real or imaginary? Whose story do the mirrors tell? Is it the story of an individual, or of hundreds of people? And will we recognize ourselves in that story?"
Audience members don't stay in their seats — they enter the world of the performers, feel their breath, touch their faces and experience their courage.
