Orchestr Berg – SPACE
Stará čistírna odpadních vod v Bubenči, Prague
Orchestr BERG presents a programme composed exclusively of works by contemporary female composers – a Lithuanian living in Great Britain, an Italian based between Berlin and Paris, and Irish and Czech composers. All works are inspired by natural or biological processes (sleep waves, spider moulting, electromagnetism). Conducted by Peter Vrábel. The event is part of celebrations marking the 120th anniversary of the Old Wastewater Treatment Plant's opening.
Programme:
- Jana Vöröšová – new commission for Orchestr BERG (world premiere)
- Justė Janulytė – Sleeping patterns (Czech premiere)
- Clara Iannotta – a stir among the stars, a making way
- Ann Cleare – on magnetic fields (Czech premiere)
