Chuck Wansley & The Mother Funkers

Chuck Wansley hails from New York and launched his professional career as a singer and drummer - at eighteen he began touring the world with Up With People. After returning to the USA, he signed with Prism Records and later with Motown, where as a founding member of Warp-9 he released two albums. His career eventually led him to Los Angeles, where he built a reputation as a bandleader and singer working across multiple musical styles.

At Jazz Dock he will perform with the full ensemble The Mother Funkers. The repertoire will feature funk and R'n'B - songs by Earth Wind & Fire, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and Prince.
