Report for Minerva 2

In a shabby hotel, the fates of a motley group of guests and staff intersect. Some have come seeking peace and escape from everyday life, others yearn for change or love. An isolated clarinetist, a young man seeking romantic adventure, a dissatisfied married couple, an eccentric hotel staff, and an alien sent from the planet Minerva 2 to report on the state of Earth all meet here.

A mosaic of fourteen interconnected stories emerges from small situations, awkward moments, inner monologues, and quiet observations. The experimental film by Miroslav Krobot and Lubomír Smékala loosely follows the same-titled production by the Theatre Association S 23, whose amateur acting members create a theatrical performance based on the method of dialogical action.
