The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband

The play begins as Hillary - Kenneth's ex-wife - prepares dinner to celebrate the third anniversary of Kenneth and Laura's wedding. The main course is meant to be a "surprise". Through flashbacks, the audience gradually learns what led to this "final dinner".

Kenneth and Hillary lived in a contented marriage for nearly twenty years until Kenneth - styling himself as Elvis Presley and going through a midlife crisis - fell in love with another woman. At first, Laura seemed to embody everything missing from his marriage, but the affair quickly spirals out of control, leading to a whirlwind of lies, excuses, and accusations. Eventually Kenneth is forced to confess to his wife and move in with Laura.
