Anger — Theatre Vila Štvanice, Prague

A stage corrida from the cycle "Virtues and Vices".

No one cares what you feel. No one cares what you want. No one cares what bothers you. And inside, a scream grows. I have the right to feel anger! To destroy. To trample. To tear apart. To kill. To kill that feeling? To hate? To hate others? Myself? Why? Somewhere in the labyrinth lurks a raging bull. Come look it in the eye.

An original stage statement by Petr Šmída - co-author of the text, composer, and sole performer. This is the first part of a cycle inspired by the Baroque sculptures of Virtues and Vices by Matyas Bernard Braun in Kuks. The production explores anger through personal experience and presents it as an inseparable part of every human being - an emotion that society traditionally rejects, yet it is a tool that must be understood and learned to be managed.

A repeat performance will take place on November 12, 2026 as part of the Week of Freedom.
