Christmas Aramaic Lord's Prayer - Prague 2026 is a musical, vocal and dance performance of an ancient prayer in the original language of Jesus Christ. The event takes place during Advent and is open to everyone - come to sing, dance, or simply listen.

Aramaic allows for many interpretations at the level of body, soul and spirit, and works directly through the frequency of sounds and words. The verses of the prayer are repeated many times during singing and varied in different ways, so polyphonic layers naturally emerge. You don't need to know the text or melody in advance.

The prayer is sung in the Trance-sing-dance style - a manifestation of prayer through the whole body, soul and spirit. You will be accompanied by: Lenka Počtová (solo vocals), Boris Blecha (solo vocals), Alunaire (singing circle of men and women), Michal Turek (cello, solo vocals) and Marcel Vlček (drums).

About the venue: Karlín Spectrum

Karlínské spektrum is a centre of the House of Children and Youth of the Capital City of Prague (DDM), located in a historic five-storey 19th-century building in the Karlín district that originally served as the local town hall. Since 1950 it has offered leisure activities for children and adults, including clubs, camps, dance halls, a ceramics workshop, a recording studio and outdoor activities. The building underwent a full reconstruction after the 2002 floods, gaining barrier-free access throughout.
