The Truth About Pygmalion - Old-Fashioned Theatre

A story about the creation of a famous comedy and the love affair between G. B. Shaw and actress Stella Beatrice Campbell.

British playwright Richard Huggett's play "The Truth About Pygmalion" takes a behind-the-scenes look at the rehearsals for the 1914 premiere of "Pygmalion". The production was directed by George Bernard Shaw himself, and the leading roles were played by London's brightest stars - Beatrice Stella Campbell and Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree.

The meeting of three immensely popular yet fiercely self-centred and stubborn artists - each determined to always be right and win the applause - forms the heart of Huggett's comedy. The Theatre in Řeznická presents it in its Czech premiere.
