Tady Vary 1 | A Lover, Not a Fighter

The Czech romantic comedy "Lover, Not a Fighter" became a crowd favourite at this year's Karlovy Vary Film Festival. Andrej has a simple plan: spend time with his grandmother and avoid climbing trees while drunk. Then he meets Míša. The film rests on genuine characters, human humour, and witty dialogue - with Adam Kubala in the lead role, whose performance has been compared to a young Timothée Chalamet.

This premiere is part of the Tady Vary 2026/27 project - a film season with a subscription to 10 festival evenings between September 2026 and June 2027. Once a month you enter the cinema on the red carpet and watch a premiere alongside audiences in cinemas across the Czech Republic. Each evening opens with an introduction broadcast to all cinemas.
