Troy's Claude: Manual Intelligence in Art, Body in a Labyrinth of Relations
Does artificial intelligence make you anxious as you wander through an algorithmic labyrinth? Come meet Troy's Claude. It will remind you that we have physical, resonant bodies that are smarter than we think - movement by movement, gesture by gesture, our collective artistic intelligence emerges from them.
Simple games by Viktor Cerny function as choreographic prompts: you will wander, pass by each other, meet, get lost and find your way again - training both bodily and relational intelligence. Those who wish can become part of the artistic output itself: the performance begins at 17:00.
The workshop is led by choreographer Viktor Cerny, who premieres the performance Claude that evening in the same labyrinth - a choreography created in dialogue with sculptor Tomas Roubal and his sculpture, as part of the triptych Dance in the Gallery: Labyrinth (SE.S.TA & GHMP). The sculpture preserves the trace of exhausting, repetitive sculptural work - dozens of hours of gestures that Roubal imprinted into it like a human 3D printer. Cerny's dance is its echo, a duet, a "double body" in the same space. In the workshop you will experience it yourselves: how to respond to the sculpture - and to the foreign work stored in it - with your own movement.
The workshop is open to everyone regardless of dance experience and entry is free. Local residents of Troja are especially invited - those who know the labyrinth by heart may get lost in it this time.
The project is created in co-production by the Prague City Gallery (Art for the City) and the Centre for Choreographic Development SE.S.TA in collaboration with Radio Wave - Czech Radio and is presented as part of the Riviera, Art Book Fair and Discover Vltava festivals (Creative Prague). It is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the City of Prague and the State Fund for Culture of the Czech Republic.
