Festival WILD! 2026

Festival WILD! is a theatre festival focused on queer and LGBT+ themes - a unique platform of its kind in the Czech theatre landscape. The festival's name references the literary and cultural legacy of Oscar Wilde, whose name has become a symbol of individuality and the courage to be different, while also emphasizing queer art as a space for free creative expression.

The dramaturgy covers a broad spectrum of contemporary performance art: authored theatre, performance, installations, and musical and visual projects. The programme regularly presents premieres and guest performances by domestic and international ensembles, providing a platform for artists from queer, LGBT+, and trans communities. New projects emerge that reflect themes of identity, embodiment, social norms, and personal freedom.

Beyond its artistic programme, the festival has a strong social dimension - it seeks open dialogue about the position of queer people in society and contributes to understanding diverse forms of identity and lived experience.
