Odyssey

Odysseus (Matt Damon) was the king of the Greek island of Ithaca who, according to legend and Homer's poetry, invented the famous Trojan Horse - a trick that decided the fall of Troy and ended the exhausting siege of the city. After the battles end, he desires only one thing: to return home to his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Tom Holland).

However, his deeds have angered the gods, who complicate his journey home as much as possible - and that is precisely why the word "odyssey" has become synonymous with a journey full of obstacles that lead the wanderer away from his goal rather than toward it.

While Odysseus resists the gods, giants, and the enchantress Circe, his wife Penelope at home faces men who seek both her and the entire kingdom of Ithaca.
