Dance at the End of Summer

An Irish drama by Brian Friel. The story is set in the summer of 1936, as the Lughnasadh festival and harvest ball approach. The narrative follows five sisters living seemingly peacefully under one roof - seen through the eyes of a young boy, the son of one of them - and the first cracks that begin to disturb their family bond. Irish music and dance run throughout the play.
