The Secret of the Jungle
Nine-year-old Elisabeth returns to her family for summer holidays at a research station deep in the Amazon rainforest, where her father works as a cartographer and jungle expert.
Shortly after her arrival, her father falls from a ladder and needs medical care, so her mother must take him to the hospital. Elisabeth volunteers to look after her younger, restless brother Leo. But she finds babysitting boring and prefers to keep her nose in a book. When she finally looks up, she discovers that Leo has wandered off into the jungle.
She must find him and bring him home before their parents return. So begins her adventurous journey through the mysterious and unknown jungle. Along the way, she overcomes her fears, finds her brother, and makes a new friend. Together the children manage to outwit a trio of dangerous poachers who are capturing rare animal species in the rainforest.
They reach the mystical Devil's Mountain, where members of a mysterious tribe help them in their battle against the poachers, along with their new animal companion Fluffy, who belongs to a previously undiscovered species of jungle inhabitants.
