Dream, desert, prison, Egypt - a journey toward reconciliation. Joseph's story is both the story of a prophet and a tale of envy, suffering, and human determination.

"Israel loved Joseph more than all his sons; for he was the child of his old age. And he made him a coat of many colors. And when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him."

Matouš Hejl has set to music the archaic biblical text of Joseph's story from the Kralice Bible, adapted by Tomáš Peřina (writer, screenwriter, and lyricist). Jan Mikušek and Jakub Gottwald will guide the audience through the narrative, accompanied by Matouš Hejl (piano), Petr Tichý (double bass), and Antonín Procházka (drums). Light design by Jaroslav Repka.
