LVHF 2026 Opening Concert

The opening concert of LVHF 2026 brings French and German Baroque in a single programme. Charpentier's Te Deum, H. 146 opens the evening, followed by François Francœur's Symphonies du Festin royal de monseigneur le comte d'Artois with their dance-like lightness and elegance.

After the interval, Bach's Magnificat in D major, BWV 243 will be heard - a monumental work combining joyful character with dramatic power.
