Robert Richardson: White Devil

Jana Hojdová, a former camera student at Prague's FAMU film school, sent Robert Richardson an email as part of her master's thesis project. He replied. What began as a student exercise gradually evolved into a creative partnership and personal friendship.

Richardson gave Jana access to hundreds of hours of his private video archives and opened the doors to his personal and professional life. She traveled with him around the world, attended the Academy Awards ceremony, and was present on film sets alongside directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Oliver Stone, and Martin Scorsese.

The result is a documentary portrait of one of the most significant cinematographers of our time - shot from within, from intimate proximity.

The screening will take place in the Main Hall.
