Anton Špelec, the Sharpshooter

A comedy from the early collaboration between director Martin Frič and popular actor Vlastimil Burian. Burian plays Anton Špelec, a musical instrument maker who, after being denied an award from a sharpshooters' club, gets drunk and speaks out of turn, landing himself in trouble for insulting the emperor's majesty.

Instead of going to prison himself, he sends his employee in his place - but the employee passes the sentence on to a sick vagrant.
